Wisp Slippers
Wisp Slippers are a cozy project for winter knitting and work up quickly in bulky weight yarn. The efficient one-piece construction means just two ends to weave in per slipper, and no seaming! You’ll start by knitting a tab at the back of the heel, pick up stitches and knit flat along the ankle opening, and then join in the round for the rest. Hold your bulky weight yarn with a strand of laceweight mohair for extra coziness!
This pattern assumes knowledge of working in the round, working twisted stitches, increases, and decreases. Both charts and written directions are provided for all stitch patterns. A video tutorial link is included for the twisted decreases used in the pattern, and an illustrated tutorial walks you through getting started with the one-piece, heel tab construction.
Suggested Yarn: Brooklyn Tweed Quarry held with Moondrake Co Mohair Lace
Substitute with bulky weight yarn alone, or held with along with a strand of laceweight mohair.
