Winter's Path Hat
Winter’s Path is a beautiful, fast hat with a single cable and lace motif. Written both for bulky yarn and worsted weight cotton.
This Christmas I wanted a pattern that would look fabulous on my mother for a gift. She’s allergic to wool, so I designed it in Blue Sky’s amazing cotton. To make a cotton hat that doesn’t get floppy and baggy (and stays put in our winds), I used a smaller cast-on number than would be normal for worsted weight. And then I realized that this pattern could also be knit with bulky yarn. I’ve knit 2 bulky versions and they won’t be my last!
