Winter Warmer first begins with a few stitches, then increases at the beginning and end of each row to set up your width.

You then increase at the beginning and decrease at the end of every other row until your piece reaches the length for the first size.

You’ll next knit without increases or decreases for the straight
section.

Reverse your shaping for the other side until your second side is as long as your first.

Finally, decrease at the beginning and end of every row until you are down to the same number of stitches you started with.
