Winter Berry
Keep those ears nice and toasty this winter and look adorable in the process!
Winter Berry is a cabled headband/ear warmer that buttons in back for wearing ease. Sew on two buttons for varied tightness.
A sweet little cluster of berries are featured in the middle of the headband to add that whimsical touch.
Pattern is written AND charted.
NOTE ON YARN GAUGE: This pattern is written using a Super Bulky but it knits up in more of a Bulky or Chunky weight. When replacing the yarn, keep this in mind as a very thick, super bulky will probably give a much larger gauge and you’ll need to go down in needle size and the headband fabric will lose it’s bounce and loft. I highly recommend a Chunky/Bulky OR a Super Bulky that is a Thick & Thin only.
If you want to make your headband longer, simply repeat rows 19 and 75 once or twice to elongate the headband.
Errata:
12/3/14 - Removed a knit box from row 7 on the chart, making the stitch count 9, not 10.
12/5/2014 - Row 27 in chart and written changed to: “Sl wyif, p, k5, p2, k3, p2, k5, p2”.
