Winstanley
This may well be the most challenging of the patterns in the book. First of all, there’s the matter of the shifting start of round, and then the thumb gusset is worked in an unusual way. The gusset increases are hidden in the plain purl sections between cable elements so that the cable can run up the thumb. This means that the position of the increases shifts depending on where you are in the patterning.
Read the notes carefully before you proceed and perhaps don’t work on that section while watching something really good on TV!
