A classic beanie with delicate lace edging, which can be worked in a contrast yarn for a pop of colour or add subtle texture if worked in one yarn throughout.

YARN
sport / light DK weight yarn OR a combination of yarns that knits up to this thickness. Approx. 200m / 218 yards. If using yarns held together, you will need this quantity of both yarns.

Samples shown in sock yarn held together with alpaca (Rico Essentials Baby Alpaca Silk, 75% Alpaca, 25% Silk, 200m per 50g ball).

If using a contrast edging, you will also need a small amount of 4ply / sport weight yarn.

GAUGE
24 sts and 31 rows to 4 inches / 10 cm in stocking stitch blocked. Suggested size 3.75 mm.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
3.5mm needles of your preferred length for working small circumferences in the round, eg. DPNs, magic loop, short circulars.
