Winberry Shawl
My 3 ‘Berry’ shawl designs have been published together in a small ebook - The Berry Shawl Collection.
This is the fingering weight version of the original Bilberry Shawl. This version gives a shallower but wide shawl by extra increases and has a slightly different picot cast off.
The sample is made using The Natural Dye Studio Precious 4 ply which is a silk yarn and gives fabulous drape. The colour is Red Brook.
This pattern is relatively easy, so it is suitable for a beginner knitter. Increases are by yarn overs, the body has sections of eyelets made by yarn overs and the edging is a simple picot cast off. It is an easy lace design.
The finished size is approximately 160cm by 50cm after blocking.
