William Shakespeare
“The web of our life is of a mingled yarn, good and ill together.”
(First Lord, Act 4 scene 3) All’s Well That Ends Well
Here at TOFT we are delighted to present the ‘Bard of the Avon’, now captured in crochet stitches. Considered the greatest dramatist of all time, world renowned playwright, poet and actor William Shakespeare was born and died in Stratford upon Avon, local to us here at HQ. A writer for the masses, Shakespeare created his art to be popular with the general public, not just the intellectual elite. His timeless works continue to entertain audiences around the globe, whether performed on stage or adapted for the screen, firmly remaining a ‘classic’ taught in schools across generations.
Dressed in Venetian breeches, peplum jacket and an optional golden earring, you’ll love crocheting this iconic design, whether you’ll be displaying him proudly in your home or creating an unforgettable gift for your favourite theatre-lover.
