Wilding is named after Emily Wilding Davidson, the British suffragette. The 1910s-30s vibe of this issue of Pom Pom inspired us to name several of the included patterns after strong women from this era.

Gauge: 16 sts and 25 rows = 10 cm / 4” over stocking
stitch with a strand of A and B held together, on 5.5mm
needles before blocking
Note: Correct stitch and row gauge are crucial for this
pattern. Take time to check your gauge and adjust your
needle size as required.
Needles: 5.5 mm / US 9 circular needle, 80 cm / 32”
length
5.5 mm / US 9 DPNs (optional)
4.5 mm / US 7 DPNs or long circular needle for Magic
Loop
4.5 mm / US 7 crochet hook for edgings
Always use a needle/hook size that will result in the
correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: 8 stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn,
tapestry needle
Notes: All slipped sts are slipped purl-wise with yarn in
back on RS rows and yarn in front on WS rows.
Due to silk yarn’s tendency to stretch, you may find that
the sleeves and yoke will grow longer during blocking
and wear. Measurements are given before stretching
takes place.
