Wildflower Honey Shawl
This fun shawl works up quickly with a highly textured yet simple stitch pattern and i-cord edging. Choose a main color, then mix in spinning experiments, dyeing samples, or leftover yarns as your contrast color(s). It’s designed so you can stop whenever you’re happy with the size or you run out of yarn. Exact gauge isn’t required.

Width at widest point: 47 inches (119.5 cm)
Length at longest point: 32 inches (81.5 cm)
Materials
- 520 yards / 475.5 m DK weight yarn in main color (2-ply, 50% wool/25% silk/25% flax)
- 125 yards / 114.5 m DK weight yarn in contrast color (2-ply, 50% wool/25% silk/25% flax)
- US 8 (5mm) circular needles 24 inches or longer
- Tapestry needle, pins for blocking
Gauge
13 stitches and 28 rows to 4 stitches Bee Stitch, blocked
Notes
This pattern is adaptable to gauge and varying amounts of yarn, so feel free to adjust the needle size to make a nice lofty fabric with your yarn. You can switch colors whenever you are running short on yarn or simply feel like a change.
