A most effective stitch is achieved in this jumper by knitting sports wool and 2 ply in alternate rows. Buttons may be added on the left side to give the appearance pf a cardigan.
Materials required: Nine ounces 8 ply wool (or use same amount of 4 ply doubled), 2oz. each of 2-ply and 4 ply the same shade; 1 pair each number 9, 12 and 14 needles; small piece of dark wool for monogram; matching buttons.
