Whetstone Cardigan
Whetstone is a versatile cardigan, perfect for layering in any season. It has a longer length, bit of positive ease, and a V-shaped neckline that will flatter many different figures. Whetstone is knitted from the top down in one piece, and the combination of simple stitches help make this a quick and easy project with minimal finishing. Thanks to the top down construction, the length of the body and the sleeves can be easily customized to just about any length.
Body is worked flat from the top down, in one piece with raglan shaping. After the yoke is finished, sleeve stitches are placed on holders, and body is worked straight down to the bottom where it is simply bound off; the waist shaping is created by ribbing. Sleeves are then picked up from the live stitches and worked with a few shaping decreases to the bind off.
