This spring style crochet cardigan features the open scallop stitch to create a lightweight fabric but when worked up with worsted or Aran weight yarn, is still cosy enough to keep you toasty on those cooler spring days.

The pattern suggests a striped feature to modernise the look of this comfortable, wide neck cardigan. The neckline allows you to style this cardigan without the need to stick to a v-neck tee shirt or blouse.

The pattern uses an inset sleeve to prevent any excess material under the arms keeping the relax fit super comfy along with a stylish 3/4 length for a lighter weight finish to the project.

The design is worked in 3 panels with the sleeves worked directly onto the seamed panels allowing you to adjust the sleeve length.

There is 4 inches of positive ease written into the patterns, so this means that you will be able to layer this with tee-shirts and thinner sweaters for extra warmth in the colder weather too making it an all-weather crochet pattern.

The pattern is also written for 3 different lengths from hip to mid thigh with the row numbers required for each length included in the pattern.

The pattern is suitable for intermediate crocheters and those beginners who are looking for a challenge.
