The pattern is written for double pointed needles. It fits all sized feet and there is advice in the pattern how to adjust the length to your desired amount.

I love a simple chevron pattern. (You might have noticed that on a few of my accessory designs!) Just one row creates the chevron pattern and with self striping yarn it all looks so much more complicated than it is.

I also love “slouchy” socks – the kind that ruffle down on your ankle. It depends on what yarn you use to how much they slouch down.

The WYS Signature 4 Ply is very well behaved and stays up much more than the gorgeous Manos Alegria that gently slouches down.

I named the socks Weston because the chevron ridges remind me of the ripples the sea makes in the sand. And that reminds me of childhood visits to Weston Super Mare where the sand, when the sea goes out, stretches for miles and miles.
