Wee Sheep
Finally, the pattern for the Wee Sheep is available! I wrote this pattern and designed the Wee Sheep quite awhile ago specifically to teach a couple of toy-making workshops. It has been sitting ever since.
The Wee Sheep is perfect for using up small amounts of left over worsted weight yarn. Traditional sheepy colors are fun. I have made this sheep in gray, black, brown and cream. Also, think about fun holiday colors for the wooly coat! Plus, variegated yarns would work out wonderfully.
Checking in at a little over 3 inches when standing, Wee Sheep could be used as a fun ornament to hang or simply as a cute little toy. This sweet one is appropriate for all ages from baby to adult, really anyone who enjoys knit toys and of course, sheep will love it!
I have a video tutorial available for the Twisted Loop stitch that is used on the Wee Sheep’s woolly coat if you are interested. Here is the link for the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcmCA61GwdE&list=UUVEj...
Enjoy!
Susan
p.s. Thank you to Jill for naming this project and for test knitting for me.
