Waves Mitts
See below for special offer ♥
Fun, warm, quick and easy to make. These easy to make mitts will brighten even the coldest winter day.
Pattern instructions are written to fit an average women’s hand with a 7-8” palm circumference. The fabric is stretchy and directions are included for adjusting the length. Two thumb sizes are also given for further adjustability.
Mitten is worked from the top down and the thumb is attached as you go. The rib is worked in soft stretchy slip stitch.
YOU WILL NEED up to 190 m (208 yds) Aran yarn in chosen colour, a 5.50 mm hook and a needle for stitching/neatening ends.
You may use worsted weight yarn in place of Aran weight as long as gauge is met. I used a 100g ball (190 m) of James C Brett Aztec Aran.
GAUGE: 8sts and 10 rows to 5 cm (2”) across slip stitched cuff. 6sts and 5 rows to 5 cm (2”) across pattern.
This pattern is written in both UK and US terms and is fully tested.
Images are included to assist with thumb placement.
A matching cowl is also available. Add both patterns to your cart for a special discount price.
