Waves Bracelet
I loved making those knotted friendship bracelets when I was young and had a yearning to make some more bracelets! I thought they would be fun tiny gifts to send friends that I might not see so much right now. This one is perfect to send your friends a little flowing wave to calm in stressful times and show them a little love. And seriously, when was the last time you got surprise mail that made you smile?
These are quick, but include a variety of fun techniques - perfect for learning without a ton of commitment - provisional cast on, colorwork, 3-needle bind-off! Get all 6 in the e-book!
This pattern will be free for the first 1000 downloads with code FWAVE and free with purchase of any of my other patterns (add both to your cart) and code FREEWAVE for one week after that.
SUPPLIES
10 yards Ella Rae Cashmereno or sport/fingering of your choice - see pattern notes about supplies
@5 yards each 2 colors of KFI Teenie Weenie Wool or @10 yards of 1 color-see pattern notes about supplies
Size US 1 or 2 DPN’s or long circular needle for magic loop
Spare circular for 3-needle bind off
Waste yarn for provisional cast-on
Crochet hook for provisional cast on
Darning needle for weaving in ends
GAUGE
24 sts = 4” on US 2, sport weight
30 sts = 4”, on US 1, fingering weight
These are so small, I wouldn’t swatch as your swatch will be bigger than the item. After you complete the purl (turning) row, slide the stitches down onto the cord if you are using magic loop or onto a waste yarn if you are using DPN’s and try on if you are worried about size. They are also a bit stretchy, so better to make sure they aren’t too big rather than too small.
FINISHED SIZE
5/8” x 5” (child), 6” (women’s small), 7” (women’s large/men’s small), 8” (men’s large)
