Vita Scarf
A small scarf in soft yarn is a practical addition to most wardrobes. Vita scarf is worked from the tip, so you can make it as long as you like, or as long as the yarn allows. Vita scarf can be worked in many different yarns. Here I show it in 3 yarns and sizes.
Scarf measurements
A: Width after wash approx. 140 cm, height in the middle approx. 44 cm (17 inches).
B: Width after wash approx. 120 cm, height in the middle approx. 34 cm (13,5 inches).
C: Width after wash approx. 75 cm, height in the middle approx. 23 cm (9 inches).
Yarn
A: Sandnes Garn Mini Alpakka (100% alpaca, 50 g = 150 m) held together with Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair (57% mohair, 28% silk, 15% wool, 25 g = 212 m).
B: KnudeYarn, økologisk 2-trådet (100% wool, 100 g = 400 m).
C: Lang Cashmere Premium (100% cashmere, 25 g = 115 m).
Yarn quantity
A: Mini Alpakka col 3553: 100 g, Tynn Silk Mohair shade 3553: 75 g (50 g should suffice if the scarf is made approx. 1-2 pattern repeats shorter).
B: Knudegarn, 2-trådet, naturfarget: 100 g
C: Cashmere Premium, camel 0039: 50 g
Recommended needles
A: Circular needle 5,5 mm (US9), 80 cm (32 inches).
B: Circular needle 4 mm (US6), 80 cm (32 inches).
C: Circular needle 4 mm (US6), 80 cm (32 inches).
Gauge
A: 1 pattern = 9 cm (3,5 inches) in width on needle size 5,5 mm (US9) with 2 strands of Tynn Silk Mohair and 1 strand of Mini Alpakka. After wash and light stretch in width: 1 pattern = 10 cm (4 inches) in width on needle size 5,5 mm (US9).
B: 1 pattern = 7 cm (2,75 inches) in in width on needle size 4 mm (US6). After wash and light stretch in width: 1 pattern = 8,5 cm (3,25 inches) in width on needle size 4 mm (US6).
C: 1 pattern = 6,5 cm (2,5 inches) in width on needle size 4 mm (US6). After wash and light stretch in width: 1 pattern = 7,5 cm (3 inches) in width on needle size 4 mm (US6).
