VesterbyCrea.No.16-O is a sweater worked in a smock stitch pattern. The garment is worked from the top down. The upper back is worked first, with increases at each side. The fronts are then worked separately by picking up stitches along the cast-on edge of the back and working increases to shape the neckline. The fronts are joined and worked back and forth in the smock stitch pattern. The front and back are joined at the underarm and the body is worked in the round in smock stitch. The body is finished with a ribbed hem and an Italian bind-off. Stitches are picked up around the armholes and the sleeves are worked in the round in smock stitch, finished with a ribbed cuff and an Italian bind-off. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline and worked in the round in double knitting, then finished with an Italian bind-off. The sweater is worked seamlessly.
