After the rain comes the sunshine.

Vertical Sunshine is a deep triangle shawl with a stunning vertical lace motif, makes me think of sunshine that fills me with hope.

Finished Measurements: Wingspan x depth at centre after wet blocking: 72” x 24” / 183 x 61 cm

Yarn: 800 yds / 732 m fingering weight yarn that achieves gauge. Sample shown in Singleton by Red Sock Blue Sock in Champagne.

Size: US size 5 / 3.75 mm long circular needle for holding a large number of sts

Notions: Tapestry needle, safety pin, or removable marker

Gauge: 25 sts = 4” / 10 cm in Vertical Lace Stitch after wet blocking (gauge is not overly important; however, it will alter yardage and finished measurements)

Skill Level: Intermediate

Notes: Deep triangle shawl, knit sideways. Both written and charted instructions are included in the pattern. Easily adjustable. For an airier shawl, go up a needle size.
