This soft as a cloud cabled hat is a dream to wear! The super luxurious yarn combines with the unusual stitch patterns to give the perfect late autumn/winter accessory.
Vendemmia (ven-dem-me-ah), Italian for harvest or vintage, is generally but not exclusively used to refer to a wine’s vintage (year). With the mock cable rib echoing the vines twisting up the canes, and the scrumptious yarn, this hat is as beautiful and comforting as a smooth red wine with excellent vintage!
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
The instructions in the pattern are given in the order:
Child beanie medium beanie, large beanielouch, large slouch)
Note: to get a “child/teenager” slouchy hat follow the instructions for the medium beanie.
All measurements given are for the unstretched hat after blocking—there is a large amount of stretch in this design, due to the cables and the yarn. The intended negative ease is 10-16 cm / 4-6”, so if in doubt, measure your head circumference, subtract the negative ease, and compare that number to the circumferences given.
Yarn amounts given include a 10% buffer.

The Fibre Co. Tundra (60% baby alpaca, 30% merino, 10% silk; 109 m / 120 yards per 100 g): 1 1, 2) skein(s).
Note that the “adult large beanie” should be possible with 1 skein in most cases, but I list that up to 109 grams of yarn may be needed and therefore I put 2 skeins to be safe.
