This lovely plain traditional sweater is knit holding two strands of the Plotulopi together and varying their colours. If you do not have Plotulopi immediately to hand, then you can try using one strand of regular Lopi or two strands of Lite Lopi—just make sure you get the recommended gauge. The construction is traditional, in the round from the hem up, then joining the sleeves at the yoke and decreasing towards the neck. Twisted ribbing edges the cuffs and hem and neckline. From Lopi Book 27.

This is the unspun yarn that comes in big ‘wheels’, or ‘plates’, or ‘cheeses’.

Plötu Lopi 2 ply from Istex known in US as Unspun Icelandic.

The pattern is very easy and the color changes are beautiful, better, the color combinations. Body and sleeves are worked in the round from lower edge to underarms, then joined. Yoke is worked in the round. Knitted from the plates or hold two strands of wool together for each colour.

A kit and downloadable PDF is offered in French at triscote.
