Útivist Karla is the men’s version of my popular Útivist sweater for women. It has very different shaping and broader shoulders.

Útivist Karla is a great lopi sweater with a zipper, hood and pockets, and a good fit! Its clever construction and unique shaping is directly inspired by the Icelandic men’s costume from the 18th century, mixed with traditional lopapeysa techniques, a modern hood and interesting details. It is knitted with Einrúm L by Kristin Brynja, a blend of lopi and silk. The addition of silk makes the sweater extremely hardwearing while adding some softness.

I took care, to have the same number of stitches and decreases per motif in the yoke of both sweaters so that it is interchangeable.
