Twisted Threads Shawl
Delicate and graceful, the Twisted Threads Stole is a modern and elegant lace shawl. The lovely lace detail was inspired by Shetland lace and the beauty of woven threads.
It is knitted flat as a long rectangle with a British moss stitch (seed stitch) border around the edges.
The finished size after blocking is 19.5” (49.5cm) by 60” (152.5cm). The stole can be made narrower or wider by completing less or more repeats of the chart. It is recommended that the stole is wet blocked with a set of pins.
The photographed sample was knit with 3mm (2.5US) straight (or 24” (60cm) circular) and 2 balls of Kingcraig Laceweight 2ply Lace (100% lambswool; 1,094 yards 1,000 meters/100 grams) in Dark Navy; however, any laceweight yarn would be suitable.
Enjoy and happy knitting!
