This shawl is the second design in a collaboration series with Ontario indie dyers. It features Shirley Brian Yarn who creates a cheeky tweed in delectable colours. The tweed yarn + mosaic stitches creates the ultimate speckley effect.

The name Tweed Rex is an homage to SBY’s logo…and to dinosaurs everywhere! Photos were taken in a magical grove of ash trees in Southern Ontario.

This design is inspired by a Pi shape with alternating bands of mosaic knitting and a simple ridge stitch. It is knit from the center of the neck outwards with increase rows and i-cord edges.
