This is a sister of Tulippa shawl, useful for such occasions when dangling shawl tips are not desired.

Till the end of August 10 (EST time zone) the cowl is available with 20% discount.

Tulippa Cowl is the second pattern from the Recowled e-book.

The cowl is worked back and forth starting with a provisional cast on, and finished by joining the ends together into a loop. Beads are added close to the join for a decorative transition. A few beads are also added to the tips of the tulips to make them glow.

Instructions are provided for two sizes: small and medium. Using a fingering weight yarn, these instructions will result in a narrow or wide cowl. Alternatively, you can use DK weight yarn with the instructions for size small to make a wide cowl. In either weight you can choose to work a short or a long cowl, or adjust the length to your liking.

For information about sizes, measurements and yarn requirements please check the second page of the pattern located among the photos on the left.

Please note that when knitting the sample (Narrow/Long, from fingering weight yarn), I worked 8 repeats for Chart B only and used 310 meters (340 yds) of yarn, the circumference of the cowl was 96 cm/38”. Test knitters recommended to lengthen the cowl to the dimensions currently included to the pattern, but in the modelled photos you still see the shorter version.
