“Land of extremes. Land of contrasts. Land of surprises. Land of contradictions… That is Arizona.”
-State Guide, 1940

This pattern can be found in issue three of Nomadic Knits, which is available to purchase in print through our website and at select local yarn shops, or as a digital download through Ravelry (click the e-book link above).

This wrap is a very easy project, perfect for beginners or for social knitting. Pints and Purls? Yes, please! The worsted weight makes it fly off the needles, and the garter stitch makes it incredibly warm and squishy. Colors 1, 2, and 3 are semi-solids and Color 4 is a speckled delight. Finish the wrap with tassels for a fun accent.

Size: 51 x 20”/ 129.5 x 51 cm.

Needles: US 8/ 5.00 mm straight or circular (for working flat).

Gauge: 16 sts and 32 rows = 4”/10cm over Garter stitch after washing and blocking.

Yarn: worsted weight: 220 yards/201 m each in four colors.
Notions: Removable marker is helpful to distinguish the RS from the WS, tapestry needle.

Sample knit in: Fuzzy Cactus Fuzzy Worsted (100% superwash Merino; 220 yards/ 100g) in Desert Sand (C1), Peach (C2), Oasis (C3), and Valley View (C4), 1 skein each.
