“Trois fois passera” is a rhyme we used to sing while forming a round as children, and I thought the name was appropriate for a pattern that is perfect for learning to knit three-color stranded colorwork!

You can get the pattern only free of charge or the knitting kit, which contains both the yarn and the pattern needed to knit this project!

Here is what you need to knit this project:

Louise Robert Collection - HIGHLAND (Single ply 100% highland Peruvian; 110 m / 100 g) - 3 skeins of contrasting color - shown in:
C1) Twilight - 1 skein
C2) Marie-Antoinette - 1 skein
C3) Canevas - 1 skein

Circular needle
PRINCIPAL: needle of 8 mm (US #11) - or the size required to obtain the gauge
RIBS: needle of 6.5 mm (US #10.5) - or 0.5 mm smaller than the required size to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle
Stitch markers (optional)
1 Vegan pompom or 1 recycled fur pompom

SIZE - Adult one size fits all.
Final circumference: 46 cm; 18 in.

GAUGE: 14 stitches x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm; 4 x 4” in stranded colorwork on 8 mm needles after blocking.

NOTE: This hat is worked from the bottom to the top in a colorwork pattern on a multiple of 10 stitches in three colors. I chose not to catch the yarn floating on the wrong side of the work and had the yarn run behind, making sure not to put too much tension on it.
