Trinity Scarf and Shawl
by Mary Mara
The trinity stitch is a variation on a faux-cable stitch first created for a prayer shawl I designed for a friend suffering with lung cancer. There is comfort in the pattern of three stitches wrapped and supported by a single strand of fiber, much as a community wraps its support around someone in need. This elegant stitch is simple to create, yet sophisticated in appearance.
