A delicate, shallow lace triangle with long tails to wear a multitude of ways. Knit with easy purl-back charts and written instructions.

The inspiration for Trifolia comes from the three-leaf clover, which is considered lucky by many people around the world. The shawl combines modern lines with an attractive clover-like eyelet pattern. This eyelet lace creates unique texture with interest on both sides of the shawl.

Trifolia is knitted simply in one piece, starting at the center of the top edge without the need for a garter tab. The shawl is shaped into a practical elongated triangle using double increases at the center and along both edges. Trifolia is a fun and easy one-skein project, perfect for last-minute gift knitting.

3-17-2016 - a pdf update was published to correct an error found in Row 11 of Chart A of the written portion of the lace instructions (at the bottom of page 3); the chart has been correct all along. Everything else also remains unchanged.

The “k-yo-k” sequence should be worked into a single stitch, not two. Please see the abbreviations section on page 4 of the pdf for complete description.

Please note: Lace pattern is both charted and written.
