While the Imprint Cowl invited us to reflect on memories that left an impact on us, the Transitory Wrap reminds us that for better or worse, everything changes. If you stay the course and make it through the situation you’re in, something new will come. This is a large kite-shaped wrap full of visual interest, featuring bold color blocks and mindful stitches. It is an almost blanket-sized friend asking you to spend time with them in the present.

This is an intermediate level pattern. The pattern is written in standard US crochet terms. It comes in one size.

Dimensions:
78” (195 cm) longest edge x 57” (142.5 cm) shortest edge

Here’s what you’ll need:
Hook: 4 mm
Yarn: DK weight yarn in 3 to 4 colors – I used approximately 6 skeins of Deep Freeze DK by the Frosted Stitch (~246 yards/225 m)/100 g. The following are maximum yardage estimates based on the tester experience:

  • Color 1 (solid/tonal): max 505 yards (462 m) -- 2 skeins
  • Color 2 (solid/tonal): max 505 yards (462 m) -- 2 skeins
  • Color 3 (variegate/solid/tonal): max 210 yards (192 m) -- 1 skein
  • Color 4 (variegate/solid/tonal): max 210 yards (192 m) -- 1 skein
