Pattern notes
These mittens are worked in the round from the bottom up following a colourwork chart. After a decorative cast on, a long cuff in corrugated ribbing is worked first in gauge-size needles, then smaller needles to create a flare. Next, in the body of the mitten, the chart integrates a thumb gusset, with thumb stitches put on a holder before finishing the rest of the body. The small pattern repeats around the mitt, making right and left mittens identical.
