The EbonyAndTeal Toadstool Fairy Cottage pdf knitting pattern gives you clear step by step instructions and is suitable for a confident beginner/intermediate knitter. Working to the recommended tension, it stands about 6 inches (15cm) high.

What you will need:

2 knitting needles (US2/2.75mm or as per tension advice)
20g white or cream DK yarn (e.g. Sirdar Snuggly DK 251 ‘White’ or 303 ‘Cream’)
20g red DK yarn (e.g. Sirdar Snuggly DK 242 ‘Flamenco’)
5g DK yarn for the door and windows (e.g. Stylecraft Special DK 1004 ‘Dark Brown’)
Oddments of green yarn or embroidery floss for the grass (optional)
1 small button for the doorknob
Strong cardboard or thin plastic sheet
1 tapestry needle for finishing
1 embroidery needle for finishing (optional)

Skills used: Casting on and off, Increasing and Decreasing, some Embroidery
