To Gnome You is to Love You
Gnomes are thought to guard earth’s treasures. What could be more precious to protect than a new baby.
This pattern is knit using stranded colorwork, where there will only be 2 colors worked per round. There are 3 options for the Gnome nose to add some dimension and for an added texture for baby to touch. Blanket is framed in a 2x2 rib stitch and fringe can be added to the side.
Blanket is versatile and can be made in a variety of styles to fit the parents’ decor; retro bright red, subdued browns and yellows, bright and sporty blue, or in several different color stripes throughout the blanket. Blanket is 36” square. Sized to perfectly work with 1 yard of material 36” wide for lining. This is intended to be an heirloom project, but worked in worsted weight yarn will still be a quick knit.
This pattern is intended for the intermediate knitter with prior knowledge of stranded colorwork and corrugated ribbing.
