Tisane Tank
by Cirilia Rose
One of the most valuable design lessons I ever learned from my friend Norah Gaughan was that it isn’t always necessary to reinvent the wheel. Instead, develop a design vocabulary and if something works, explore the idea, shifting slightly to create new but recognizable versions.
The Tisane Tank is a fraternal twin to the Garance Camisole and a good example of how yarn choice can change the feel of a garment completely. Fibre Company’s Savannah, an unusual blend of wool, cotton, linen, and soya, is worked in a garter ribbing that recalls comforting winter thermals.
