The Tirrick Shawl was originally created for for Valley Yarns as part of their 40th anniversary series. The blue version is knit in Valley Yarns Charlemont yarn (fingering weight) and the red/orange version is knit in Ginger Twist Studio Swanky Lace (lace weight).

This shawl is based off of a simple Shetland lace pattern with an eye-catching effect. Knit on a background of stockinette, not garter as is most common in Shetland lace patterns, this lacy semi-circular shawl is knit from the widest edge in five wedge sections. Each section decreases at the same rate until you end up with only a few stitches left.
