A bias knit cowl that’s fun to make - the stitch is a modified version of duck rib, but made in spring flower colours it looks more like tiny bells.
Can be made with any weight you like (fingering - aran) - I’d recommend a minimum of 135cm for a double loop, but you can make it longer providing you allow more yardage/m.
Works best with solid or semi-solid (medium to light shades are best for seeing the motif). Not recommended for striping yarns or yarns that produce a horizontal striped effect (the lines going in both directions will tend to “fight with one another”).
many thanks to maliha and covelady for testing.
