TILLI

These socks are knitted from the toe up. They have a gusset, heel turn shaped with short rows and a heel flap worked with a slip-stitch pattern. Both socks are worked the same way.

Finished measurements:
Circumference: approx. 16 (18.5) cm / 6.25 (7.25)”.
Length: adjustable.
Recommended negative ease 1–2.5 cm / 0.5–1”. The sample socks in sizes 28 (EU) / 10 (UK) and 37 (EU) / 4 (UK).

MATERIALS
Yarn: Mondim by Retrosaria Rosa Pomar (100% wool, 385 m / 421 yds – 100 g). Blue socks in colourway A568, light socks in colourway A576.

Yarn requirement: 35 (55) g or approx. 135 (212) m / 148 (232) yds of other fingering-weight yarn.
Note! If you wish to make longer socks, you will need more yarn. If you want to increase the durability of your socks, choose a sock yarn with nylon or other fibre that adds durability.

Other yarn suggestions: Viola by Novita, Wilhelmi wool sock yarn by Vuonue, Exmoor Sock 4ply by John Arbon Textiles and Arwetta by Filcolana.

Needles: 2 mm (US 0) circular needles with 80 cm / 32” cable. After the first few rnds of toe, you can switch to 2 mm DPNs, if preferred. Or size needed to get the correct gauge.

Notions: Cable needle, 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle.
