A beautiful arrangement of cables and dotted ribs creates a fascinating, textured fabric on this cozy wrap.

The cable pattern may seem complex at first, but I designed it in a way that let’s you only use two different cables arranged in a very intuitive way, so it’s actually fairly easy to knit.

Theresa Wrap is a long sideways-knit shawl. You start knitting at one tip (short edge), then work your way across to the opposite tip, creating an elongated tapered shape with a straight middle part.

I made my original sample with a bulky weight yarn from Lamana’s “superlight” series, which means even though it’s a pretty large wrap worked in thick yarn it doesn’t feel heavy at all.

The pattern provides lots of options for easy adjustments if you wish to use a different yarn weight or make a smaller/ larger shawl according to the available yardage. If substituting, I would suggest looking for a worsted-aran weight yarn.

Fully written row-by-row as well as charted instructions are provided so you can choose which you prefer to work from.

YARN
Designed for a bulky weight yarn from Lamana’s “superlight” series. The pattern is easily adjustable for other yarn weights and/or yardages.
Yarn used for sample:
Lamana Como Grande (superlight bulky weight, 100% Merino, 50 g = 120 m / 131 yd), 5.8 balls used (290 g = 695 m / 756 yd) in colour Macadamia (48M).
The small scarf version also shown here is worked in Cardiff Cashmere Classic (light DK weight) on 4.5 mm needles.

GAUGE & NEEDLES
Not critical for this project but differences will affect yardage requirements and the finished size.
Gauge on sample: 20 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4“ in cable-rib stitch pattern.
Needles used for sample: 6 mm / US 10

Dieses wundervolle Tuch ziert ein Strukturmuster aus Zöpfen und gepunkteten Rippen.

Das aufwändig erscheinende Muster ist viel einfacher zu stricken, als Du vielleicht zunächst denkst - Du brauchst nur zwei einfache Zopfvarianten, um dieses faszinierende Arrangement zu kreieren.

Dies ist ein langes, seitlich gestricktes Tuch bzw. eine Stola. Man beginnt an einer Spitze (kurze Kante) und arbeitet sich dann zur gegenüberliegenden Spitze vor. Es wird eine längliche, zu den Enden hin schmal zulaufende Form erzeugt.

Mein Mustertuch habe ich in einem „bulky“-Garn von Lamanas „superlight“ Serie gestrickt. Dadurch fühlt es sich überhaupt nicht schwer an, auch wenn es recht groß und aus dickem Garn gestrickt ist. Die Anleitung bietet aber auch viele Möglichkeiten zur Anpassung, wenn Du ein anderes Garn bzw. eine andere Garnstärke verwenden
oder ein kleineres/größeres Tuch entsprechend der verfügbaren Lauflänge stricken möchtest.

Diese Strickanleitung enthält eine ausgeschriebene Version Reihe für Reihe sowie Strickschriften, so dass Du in Deinem bevorzugten Arbeitsstil vorgehen kannst.

Lamana Como Grande („superlight” bulky weight, 100% Merino, 50 g = 120 m LL), 5,8 Knäuel (290 g = 695 m) verbraucht in Farbe Macadamia (48M).
Die schmale Schalversion, die hier auch gezeigt wird, ist aus Cardiff Cashmere Classic (light DK weight) auf 4,5 mm Nadeln gestrickt.

NADELSTÄRKE:
6 mm oder die Stärke, um die Maschenprobe zu erreichen.

MASCHENPROBE:
20 Ma x 23 R = 10 x 10 cm im Zopf-Rippen-Muster.
