The Verderer's Cowl
Vibrant greens bleed to orange in this rustic, lacy cowl inspired by the ever changing foliage of Britain’s woodlands. Three sizes are included; a small collar, a standard length cowl and a long version which can be wrapped around the neck up to three times.
’Verderer’ is an ancient seat of office in British estates that survives to this day. Part of an ancient judicial hierarchy, verderers were responsible for investigating offences and administering law in the vast woodlands which once covered the British Isles.
