If you love Christmas as much as I do, this is the perfect shawl and hat for you. It has it all, red colour, pompoms, snowflake motifs, dangly pompom bits and fringe! I enjoined designing this set and even though it is for intermediate level I would recommend it for adventurous beginners since the instructions are very comprehensive and detailed.

Sirdar Country classic in true red dk – 4 skeins (200g – 250m/ 272yards)

Sirdar country classic in white dk – 2 skeins (100 g – 125m/136yyards)

Sirdar Snuggly sweety (pompom yarn) 200 g – you will use approximately 70 g

Alternatively, use any dk yarn yarn of your choice.

Note that this design requires you to work with both pompom and 4 ply yarn together. The thread on the pom pom yarn is worked over whilst we make dc/tc as a base.

Tension is irrelevant to this project however it might affect the yarn quantities.
