The Twisted Shirsty Hat
By Corrado Lark

This pattern has been test knit and tech edited!

Little cables and twisted stitches make this quick knit a joy. Perfect for any bulky weight yarn, the texture in the body of the hat is pretty cool, if I do say so myself.

Designed with Shirsty Cat Design’s Bulky weight yarn, any bulky will do.

This is a perfect project to practice doing cable-less cable needles. If you haven’t done the technique, it can really speed up your cabling and is a piece of cake to learn to do. Written instructions included in the pattern.

The pattern gives you two options: One with a shorter brim and a pom pom, and the other with a folded brim and no pom pom. Choose wisely!

The Needs:

US size 9 (5.5 mm) and 10.5 (6.5 mm) circular needles.
Gauge: 14 st and 22 rows per 4” in the cabled body of the hat pattern.
Final Dimensions: 10” width by 9.5” in length.
One 137 yrd/100g skein of Bulky weight yarn.

Samples in Shirsty Cat Design’s Bulky, the “Bees!” Colorway and Nerd Girl Squish in the “Tardis Blue” colorway.
