Since the original “Avalanche” yarn is no longer available, here is an updated version of the Steppe Sweater that will allow you to knit the sweater with any bulky yarn. The Steppe “Ahead” uses a percentage system based on your actual gauge and knitted item measurements. This is a great introduction to the freedom of percentage sweaters… Enjoy!
