The New Knitted Hat
A buckram shape with brim slightly curled all round, and deeper at the back than the front, with the new tall crown.
MATERIALS: 1 ounce of purple wool, and 3 ounces of white 4-ply “Beehive” Scotch Fingering; five No. 14 long steel knitting needles. The fifth needle is only required for the brim where there are too many stitches for three needles.
