The Maude Shawl
The Maude Shawl is the perfect project for those that love texture and lace openwork. It features a triangle shape, and a versatile structure so you can make your shawl as big or as small as you would prefer!
This pattern is written in US Standard Terms.
Finished dimensions of shawl: Width= 60 inches, Depth/Height = 28 inches. Shawl can easily be made bigger or smaller (model has a 36” bust and is 5 feet 4 inches for reference)
You will want to use a Weight (1) yarn, approximately two 100 gram skeins or 870 yards. I used a Superwash Merino/Nylon blend, but you can use any yarn that has a nice drape to it (and that meets gauge!)
This pattern uses US Size 2 (2.75 mm) needles, or size that meets gauge.
I recommend this pattern for the intermediate knitter who is comfortable with lace techniques.
