The Jeririgged Cardigan
This pattern is a “choose your own adventure” recipe, which is based on your body measurements and your chosen yarn’s gauge. It can be any color you like!
It is a template for understanding how a seamless, top-down raglan cardigan can be constructed, and guides you step-by-step through making your own v-necked cardigan for your size and yarn. A great stash-buster for yarn you have had marinating in your stash! You can stop knitting at any length, making, for example, short sleeves, or a cropped sweater if you are worried about yarn quantities.
This sweater incorporates a few tricks and hints which have been enjoyed by my students, and as such is a narrative pattern rather than a descriptive one, outlining a strategy rather than hard and fast rules. As such, sizing is up to the knitter, and there are pointers and links to other available resources as needed.
I hope you will enjoy this blank canvas and dream up your own version!
Note: You will need to look up your yarn’s suggested needle size and yarn quantities for your chosen yarn and size.
