The Dumbley Shawl
by Kay F Jones
NOW AVAILABLE FOR INDIVIDUAL DOWNLOAD.
This is the 6th design in my Swish and Flick Collective.
This design was inspired by of course - Professor Dumbledore.
This is a large shawl, perfect for wrapping around and snuggling up when the weather turns colder.
The chain like stitch pattern represents Dumbledore’s strength, even at the end of his life.
The design uses a worsted weight yarn and for my sample I used the following yarn -
Malabrigo Rios - 3 skeins of ‘Whole Grain’ and 3 skeins of ‘Peachy’.
Each skein is 210 yards.
For my sample I used 550 yards of ‘Whole Grain’ and 500 yards of ‘Peachy’.
To allow for differences in gauge, I would recommend you have at least 600 yards of each colour.
