The Competition Jumper / Cross-Over Jumper
£250 PRIZE JUMPER. This attractive cross-over jumper was specially designed for the eight competitors to work at the final round of our recent competition for the knitting championship of England, Ireland, Scotland , and Wales.
Description: This effective jumper is made in one piece, in a pretty pattern (which gives a striped appearance), with moss-stitch borders and waist band. The moss-stitch up each front and round sleeves should be knitted rather loosely to prevent dragging. The moss-stitch band for lower edge is better worked firmly.
Measurements:
Shoulder to lower edge above band, 20 inches.
Round lower edge above band, 51 inches (back, 21 inches; fronts, 15 inches).
Round lower edge of sleeve, 14 inches.
Depth of moss-stitch band, 3 1/2 inches.
Length of band, 37 inches.
