That's All Right
You bought a single skein of sock yarn on a whim and don’t have a pattern to use it? ‘’That’s All Right’’, we’ve got one for you!
This shawl is named in tribute to the first single recorded ‘’That’s all Right’’ by Elvis Presley at Sun Studio. It’s the perfect way to show off a special skein of sock yarn that you’ve been saving for a special occasion!
All sales of this pattern are donated to the Douglas Foundation for mental health research
IN ADDITION TO KNITTING PATTERN, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL TO KNIT THIS SHAWL
↪The That’s All Right Shawl knitting kit is also available HERE
Biscotte Yarns – Bis-Sock 85% Merino SW and 15% Nylon, 400 m / 437 yds, 100 g / 3.5 oz - One skein
OR
Louise Robert Collection - Super Sock 75% Merino SW and 25% Nylon, 400 m / 437 yds, 100 g / 3.5 oz
OR
Patricknits Signature - Bis-Sock 85% Merino SW and 15% Nylon, 400 m / 437 yds, 100 g / 3.5 oz
Circular or Straight needles of 4 mm - US 6 (or the size required to obtain the gauge)
Tapestry needle
Scale (optionally used to divide yarn into two equal halves)
GAUGE - 26 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm in pattern.
Obtaining the exact GAUGE is not mandatory to complete this pattern. However, if your tension is looser than the suggested gauge, you may run out of yarn to complete this pattern. In this case, I suggest you use a scale to separate your yarn into two equal halves so you don’t run out of yarn.
FINAL DIMENSIONS -
WIDTH = 213 cm; 84” and HEIGHT = 28 cm; 11”
NOTES: This shawl is worked horizontally, using the first half of the skein to knit the increasing part and the second half of the skein to knit the decreasing part.
The stitch pattern is available in both written and chart format.
