Second release from the 7 Hats More e-book.

This is a fast and easy knit. The slip stitches are dropped after a few rows and then moved over and together from their original postition to create a faux cable look.

Knit in the round with an easy to work slip stitch pattern this is the hat for the whole family. The pattern and crown shaping are based on multiples of eight. If the sizes offered aren’t enough and you need to work a size larger or smaller – just add or subtract 8 stitches.

Slip Stitch knitting is a method of creating colourwork and textural patterns without carrying yarns across your work.

Patterns used roughly equal amounts of 2 colours or (three if you feel like playing around).

Note – If making a pom-pom plan on about 30 – 35 yds of extra yarn (before trimming) for the size of pom-pom used on the hats.

Notes on Samples: X-small sample was knit with 2 colours of Estelle Worsted, Small sample was knit with 3 colours of Estelle worsted, Medium sample was knit with Cascade 128 Superwash Merino and Large sample was knit with Cascade Eco plus and Koigu Kersti DK held double.
